Homicide Shocks Penal Community

A shocking homicide investigation has been launched in Penal following the discovery of a dismembered and bound body in a garden. The grim find was made on Monday, July 14, around 2:40 p.m., when a local resident stumbled upon the body in a bushy area off Penal Quinam Road, near Mahogany Drive. Authorities reported that the victim is a man of African descent, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short black hair and a medium build. He was found lying face down, motionless, and unresponsive, with his feet, legs, and hands bound together, and visible chop wounds and lacerations on his body. The victim was dressed in a green T-shirt and blue boxer shorts, positioned with his head facing southeast and feet pointing northwest. The Penal police secured the scene, and the District Medical Officer confirmed the man’s death at the scene, ordering the body to be transported to the Forensic Science Centre for a post-mortem examination. Investigations are currently ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the circumstances surrounding this disturbing crime.
