President Irfaan Ali announced on Saturday that a series of heart surgeries for 40 children diagnosed with congenital heart defects will commence later this month. The medical procedures are scheduled to begin on September 28.
According to the President, the initiative involves a partnership with Apollo Health Systems of India. The medical team from the Indian healthcare provider is expected to perform the first 17 surgeries during this initial phase.
