HDC Faces Legal Action Over Unpaid Contractor Services

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) may soon face legal repercussions for allegedly neglecting to pay Dirt B Gone Janitorial and Maintenance Services Ltd for six months of waste disposal and bulk removal services. Owner, Alick Anthony Charles, is prepared to sue the state agency, citing major financial hardship caused by the non-payment. HDC asked for a delay in legal action to thoroughly investigate the matter, but Charles refused, agreeing to only a seven-day extension for full payment. Housing Minister David Lee was reported to be unaware of the predicament, while HDC’s Corporate Communications Department failed to respond to queries.
