The message from the Italian leader was among several sent by international figures as Prime Minister Modi celebrated his 76th birthday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also offered his congratulations, praising Modi’s leadership for transforming India into a world power and noting that the partnership between Israel and India has never been stronger.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message as well, acknowledging Modi’s role in advancing the strategic partnership between India and Russia. Within India, President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings, citing the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public service and his focus on governance and inclusive development.
Born in 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat, Narendra Modi assumed office as India’s Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. To mark the occasion, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long series of service-oriented programs and public outreach initiatives running from September 17 to October 17.
