Guyana: Teen Shot Dead After Alleged Robbery in Lethem

A robbery incident in Tabatinga, Lethem, Region Nine, resulted in the death of an 18-year-old male identified as Edward Arjune, also known as “Black Spanish.” The event occurred on Tuesday when Arjune and another individual allegedly targeted a local businessman.

Following the robbery, police responded to the scene, leading to a confrontation with the suspects. During this encounter, Arjune was shot and subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Another suspect involved in the robbery was apprehended by law enforcement and is currently in custody.

The police have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the robbery or the identity of the second suspect. The incident has raised concerns within the community, prompting discussions about safety and crime in the area.
