Guyana: Euro-Guyanese Classical Music, Opera Association Debuts with Performance in Guyana

The Euro-Guyanese Classical Music and Opera Association hosted its inaugural concert on Monday evening at St George’s Cathedral in Georgetown, Guyana. The event was held under the patronage of Luca Pierantoni, the European Union Ambassador to Guyana.

The concert showcased a selection of classical music and opera, featuring performances by internationally acclaimed artists, including Argentine-Spanish baritone Leonardo López Linares and oboist Cecilia Maragno. The formation of the association aims to promote classical music and opera within Guyana, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation for these art forms.
