A 26-year-old Cuban woman, Dailen Paneque Gómez, has been reported missing in Guyana. According to police and members of the Cuban community, she disappeared on June 18, 2026. The head of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Guyana Police Force, Deputy Police Commissioner Wendell Blanhum, confirmed that an official report was made on June 19, 2026, at the Mon Repos police outpost.

Her friend, Ibrain Beritan Lago, stated that Paneque Gómez was last seen during the early hours of June 18 while she was preparing to enter the Mon Repos Health Centre, where she is employed. Lago mentioned that a cousin of his saw her preparing lunch at approximately 6:20 AM and that she sent him a text message at 6:43 AM. According to Lago, she responded to another text at around 7:19 AM, indicating she was on her way to the hospital, but there has been no communication from her since that time.
