Grenada: Carib Brewery Vacancy: Facilities Officer

Carib Brewery (Grenada) Limited has announced a vacancy for the position of Facilities Officer. The individual selected for this role will be tasked with the strategic planning and daily operations related to the coordination and management of the company’s buildings, premises, and property maintenance services.

The key duties associated with this position include:

• Coordinating the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the company’s buildings, grounds, and utilities.
• Scheduling and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Liaising with contractors and service providers to ensure that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Conducting routine facility inspections and coordinating necessary repairs.
• Supporting compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire safety requirements.
• Maintaining maintenance records, service schedules, permits, and facility documentation.
• Monitoring facility-related expenditures and assisting with budget management.
• Coordinating office and plant improvement projects.
• Responding promptly to facility emergencies and maintenance requests.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or a related technical field is critical.
• At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is considered an asset.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
