GpCC: New Operating Framework Enables Global Capability Centers to Extend Their Mandate into Global Payroll

Neeyamo, a provider of global payroll and Employer of Record solutions, has introduced a new operating framework designed to allow Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to manage global payroll functions. The framework, titled the Global Payroll Capability Center (GpCC), aims to consolidate payroll processes that have traditionally remained decentralized across multiple vendors and systems.

According to Neeyamo, the GpCC framework enables a GCC to maintain enterprise-wide ownership of payroll by integrating global governance, a unified technology platform, and standardized processes with local statutory compliance. The model is intended to replace the common practice of managing payroll on a country-by-country basis, providing organizations with a single view of payroll data.

The framework consists of four primary components: ownership and governance, which establishes a single global payroll owner; technology and data, utilizing a unified platform integrated with enterprise systems; standardized processes; and in-country execution to ensure local statutory compliance.

Samuel Isaac, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Neeyamo, stated that the framework allows enterprises to achieve global consistency in payroll management without disregarding the specific regulatory requirements of individual countries.

The GpCC framework was initially outlined at Neeyamo’s N’gene GCC Conclave held in Hyderabad earlier this year. It is being released as an open industry framework available for adoption by any GCC. This development follows trends noted in the NASSCOM-Zinnov India GCC Landscape Report 2026, which indicated that while India’s 2,117 GCCs have expanded their mandates to include finance, HR, and analytics, global payroll has largely remained outside of these consolidation efforts due to the complexity of local statutory requirements and the historical lack of a single system capable of native payroll execution across multiple countries.
