Government Insists No Intention to Withdraw from CARICOM

The Trinidad and Tobago government has reaffirmed its commitment to CARICOM, dismissing suggestions that it intends to withdraw from the regional body. Minister Sean Sobers stated that while the country values regional integration, it is advocating for reforms to improve CARICOM’s efficiency and effectiveness. He emphasized that concerns raised are aimed at strengthening the organization rather than undermining it.
