New Delhi, India – The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data on September 1 indicating that global air passenger demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), increased by 0.2 % year‑on‑year (YoY) in July 2026.
IATA also reported that total available seat kilometres (ASK) rose 0.3 % compared with July 2025, and the global passenger load factor reached 85.2 %.
Despite the overall uptick, several carriers in North America and the Middle East experienced declines in passenger demand during the month. The IATA figures reflect the combined performance of airlines worldwide and are based on the latest available data.
