Funeral and Peace Walk Planned for Eight-Year-Old J’layna Armstrong, Victim of Morvant Quadruple Murder

A funeral service and a peace walk have been announced for eight-year-old J’layna Armstrong, who was among four people killed in a drive-by shooting along Lady Young Road in Morvant on April 20. The funeral will be held at Newtown St Patrick’s Church on Friday, followed by burial at Lapeyrouse Cemetery. A candlelight vigil and peace walk is planned for Saturday, proceeding from Woodford Square to the Queen’s Park Savannah, with participants asked to wear pink and carry candles in her memory.
