French customs authorities have seized nearly 3.9 metric tons of cocaine at the northern port of Dunkirk. The shipment, which officials estimate has a street value of 225 million euros, or approximately 261.45 million dollars, was intercepted on Thursday.
The seizure follows a similar incident reported several months ago, in which Australian authorities intercepted a shipment of methamphetamine originating from Ghana. French organized crime units are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the Dunkirk discovery.
