FPÖ politician Walch has sparked controversy after posting a list of first names belonging to schoolchildren on social media. In the accompanying post, the politician argued that becoming a minority in their own city is a reality that must be addressed by beginning what he termed as remigration.
The publication of the list has drawn sharp condemnation from political opponents. Representatives from the Green Party and the SPÖ have criticized the post, characterizing the rhetoric as racism and describing the call for remigration as deportation fantasies.
