Former PM Dr Rowley Criticizes Kamla’s Leadership

In my experience from 1962 to present, I’ve never witnessed a leader as unpatriotic and recklessly incompetent as Kamla Persad-Bissessar. Her offensive statements about our sovereignty and rights are deeply concerning. The Prime Minister and her government’s actions have reduced us to a vassal state, taking secret instructions from another country and issuing warnings about offending the United States, tearing up our Constitution in the process. Public withdrawal from CARICOM issues and decisions is dangerously close to being a fifth-columnist. Our nation seems oblivious to history and the failings of others, displaying not mutual respect but obeisance and adoration to the US. This is especially concerning considering the special majority that was handed to her in the recent general election. She militarizes our islands but refuses to communicate her dealings with US authorities and avoids questioning by local media, describing our need to know as ‘anti-American’. The future of our country hangs in the balance and it doesn’t look promising.
