The match remained scoreless through the first half, with both sides missing significant opportunities. Marseille’s Neal Maupay and Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé both failed to convert chances before the interval. The second half saw the visitors break the deadlock in the 66th minute when Ferran Torres scored with a header following a cross from Désiré Doué.
Marseille responded in the 72nd minute with an equalizer from Angel Gomes, who capitalized on a turnover by Dembélé. However, Paris Saint-Germain regained the lead just two minutes later when Marquinhos scored from a Nuno Mendes cross. The visitors maintained their advantage after Timothy Weah was sent off in the 76th minute.
This victory marks a third consecutive win for Paris Saint-Germain across all competitions, following recent successes against Bratislava in the Champions League and Brest in Ligue 1. For Marseille, the result represents their fifth defeat in six matches this season.
