Five To Appear In Court Following Charges For Tara Poliah Kidnapping

Five individuals, identified as Hakeem Amzad Ali, John Evans, Johniken Gonzales, Hector Jimenez, and Reynaldo Alexander Martinez, have been charged in connection with the kidnapping of Tara Poliah. The group is scheduled to appear in court next week. The original incident dates back to March 27, 2025, when Poliah was abducted and later rescued by the T&T Coast Guards off the waters of north Trinidad. Among her abductors were six Venezuelans and one Trinidadian.

The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force played a key role in the successful maritime operation that led to Poliah’s rescue.
