The General Inspection of Economic Activities (IGAE) in Cape Verde reported the highest non-compliance rate in six years following a series of inspections conducted in the cities of Praia and Mindelo. The operations took place between September 1 and September 15.
During this period, inspectors carried out 208 oversight actions targeting retail establishments. According to the IGAE, these inspections resulted in an 89 percent rate of non-compliance among the businesses visited.
