First Triplets Born at Sangre Grande Hospital

The Eastern Regional Health Authority recently celebrated a unique event: the delivery of the first set of triplets at the Sangre Grande Hospital Campus. The mother, Amelia Neisha Preddie, gave birth to three healthy babies, under the careful supervision of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Leading the team was Dr. Chukwuma Akibor, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, along with Dr. K. Mendes, Senior Medical Officer, Dr. A. Permberton, Head of Department Paediatrics, Dr. K. Thomas, Neonatologist, and Dr. Sasha Maharaj, Head of Department Anesthetic.
