Fire breaks out at Marathounta landfill site in Paphos

A fire broke out at the Marathounta landfill site in Paphos on Sunday, August 9. The blaze occurred within the fenced area of the site. In response to the incident, the Fire Service dispatched three engines, while the Forestry Department sent one vehicle to the scene. A significant amount of water was required to tackle the fire, prompting the deployment of these resources. Additionally, an excavator is being utilized to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
