Gibraltar Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry Nigel Feetham urged the finance sector to recognise potential blind spots and avoid dangerous assumptions during his address at the biennial Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers (GACO) conference held at the Sunborn hotel this week.
Feetham cautioned that the sector should not assume it will remain successful indefinitely, and called for proactive identification of areas where oversight could be lacking.
The minister’s remarks were delivered to a full house of compliance professionals and industry stakeholders at the conference.
