In the early hours of Sunday, August 16, 2026, a frightening home invasion occurred in Felicity, leaving a local contractor and his companion shaken. At about 3:15 a.m., five armed men reportedly broke into the residence of the 36-year-old contractor. According to initial reports, the intruders were described as being of Hispanic descent.
During the ordeal, the contractor and his 50-year-old female companion were restrained with tie-straps while the men ransacked their home. The assailants allegedly made off with approximately TT$1 million worth of jewellery, along with three cellular phones, before fleeing the scene.
Despite the terrifying experience, no physical injuries were reported. Authorities are yet to make any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing as they seek to identify the suspects involved in the brazen robbery.
The community of Felicity is left on edge as the police continue to gather evidence and appeal to the public for any information that might lead to the identification and capture of the intruders. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
