Fastjet Extends A320 Service to October, Confirms December Return Amid Strong Demand

Fastjet has announced that it will extend the operation of its Airbus A320 aircraft through October and will resume services in December, citing strong demand for its flights.

The airline said the decision follows a sustained increase in passenger numbers since it began A320 operations in early August. Fastjet confirmed that it will continue to operate the A320 fleet until the end of October before pausing services for the winter months.

Fastjet’s announcement comes ahead of the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbabwe Tourism Expo, which will be held in Masvingo from 9 to 12 September 2026. The airline confirmed that it will attend the event.

Fastjet’s CEO stated that the extension of the A320 service was a response to the growing demand for air travel in the region and that the company is preparing for a return to full operations in December.

Fastjet has not yet released details on the specific routes that will be affected by the temporary suspension of services in December.
