A violent home invasion took place in Cascade on the night of November 20, 2025, where a family including a Permanent Secretary with the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism was held at gunpoint by four masked assailants. The incident unfolded around 7:15 p.m, when the family was returning home. The intruders, armed with a gun and a knife, forced the victims into the house and proceeded to assault a 73-year-old relative. The stolen items included cash, IDs, bank cards, various electronic devices, personal effects, and government property from the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism. The assailants made their escape using a stolen white Subaru Crosstrek with license plate PEE 3296. The Belmont Police CID, under WPC Henry, is currently investigating the incident.
