Family Demands Answers After Alleged Prison Assault Leads to Inmate’s Death

The death of Marvin Boisselle, a prison inmate at Maximum Security Prison, has raised a series of questions and concerns. Boisselle, who was serving a life sentence for murder, died following an alleged assault behind bars. Nearly two weeks after his death, relatives are still awaiting autopsy results and answers surrounding the circumstances of his demise.

According to sources, Boisselle was assaulted by both fellow inmates and prison officers, which resulted in severe injuries. However, there is a lack of clarity about what happened after Boisselle was first taken to the hospital for medical treatment. A dispute has emerged over whether he was medically discharged before being returned to prison or removed by prison officers and taken back into custody.

Adding to the family’s frustration is the delay in the post-mortem examination. The family alleges they have been given conflicting information and treated dismissively as they seek answers. The conflicting accounts have only deepened their concerns and increased their demand for a full investigation into the circumstances that led to Boisselle’s injuries and subsequent death.

To date, the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service has not issued a public statement addressing the incident or the allegations surrounding the assault. The family’s immediate concern, however, is having the autopsy conducted so they can begin to understand exactly how Boisselle died and finally obtain some measure of closure.
