The soldiers were aboard a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter, which crashed during a routine military training exercise in Europe. The mission’s aim was to reinforce coordination and readiness among NATO allies. The fallen soldiers have been identified as Staff Sgt. Darin Xhorik, Sgt. Nicole Amor, Sgt. Kelsey Tiejens, Specialist Jacob Coady, Staff Sgt. Victor Marzan, and Sgt. Kevin O’Brien. After being flown back, they will receive full military honors.
