Facebook Meeting Turns Violent

A shocking incident unfolded in Point Fortin involving a 31-year-old man who was beaten, robbed, and kidnapped after meeting two women on Facebook. The man picked up the women, one identified as Krystal, early Sunday morning and took them to a tattoo shop in Mahaica, Point Fortin. While they were at the shop, they were ambushed by three armed men who announced a robbery. The assailants stole the victim’s car keys, a white Nissan Almera valued at $30,000, and a black iPhone 11 worth $2,000. The suspects forced the victim into his car and drove off, demanding he keep his head down. He was later released on Field Road, where he sought help from local officers. An ambulance transported him to the Point Fortin Hospital for treatment of injuries including a bruised upper lip and jaw pain. Fortunately, the stolen vehicle was recovered the same day. The investigation is currently ongoing under the direction of PC Mohansingh from the Point Fortin Police District.
