Former Prime Minister Keith Rowley has voiced concern over the ongoing cargo seabridge disruption affecting Tobago. In a social media post, Rowley disclosed that the situation has created a serious crisis for producers on the island, including himself. According to Rowley, he currently owns thousands of farm animals, including chickens, pigs, and sheep, which he is unable to feed due to the disruption. This crisis is amplified by the fact that Tobago lacks a feed mill. Further, the reduced sailing frequency and the absence of a fixed shipping schedule have disrupted his weekly trucking arrangements, preventing necessary supplies from reaching the island.
