Ever Licked a Volcano? This Trinidadian Did!

Citizens React After SystemRichie Appears to Lick Trinidad Mud Volcano

Trinidadian content creator and social media personality , better known online as SystemRichie, has sparked widespread discussion after posting a video in which he appears to lick mud from a mud volcano during one of his local exploration adventures.

Mud volcanoes are natural geological formations that release mud, gases, and underground fluids to the surface. Although they are popular attractions for adventurous visitors, experts generally advise against ingesting mud or allowing it to come into contact with the mouth, eyes, or open wounds.

Depending on the location, mud volcanoes can contain bacteria, parasites, heavy metals, hydrocarbons, and other contaminants that may not be visible to the naked eye. Consuming even a small amount could potentially lead to stomach illnesses, infections, or exposure to harmful substances.

Many social media users pointed out these risks in the comments, with some warning that younger viewers may attempt to imitate the stunt without understanding the possible consequences.

SystemRichie, whose real name is Richie Bansraj, is known throughout Trinidad and Tobago for showcasing hidden gems, cultural experiences, local food, rivers, beaches, and tourism attractions. After spending years working in sociology and public service, he transitioned into full-time content creation and has built a strong following through videos highlighting the beauty and uniqueness of the islands.

Whether viewers found the act funny, shocking, or simply unnecessary, one thing is clear: the clip has generated significant discussion and once again placed SystemRichie at the center of social media conversation.
