**European Union Ambassador to Zimbabwe Katrin Hagemann Dies at 53**

**HARARE** – The European Union Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Katrin Hagemann, has died at the age of 53.

Hagemann, who had recently assumed her diplomatic posting in Harare, passed away suddenly on Thursday morning. According to reports, she became unwell following breakfast at her residence and was subsequently found unresponsive.

Hagemann had been serving as the head of the EU delegation in Zimbabwe for several months prior to her death. Official details regarding the cause of her passing have not been released.
