Former Democratic Republic of the Congo Justice Minister Constant Mutamba has been sentenced to ten years in prison following a conviction for the embezzlement of funds intended for the compensation of victims of the war in Kisangani.
This latest ruling follows a previous conviction in September 2025, during which Mutamba was sentenced to three years of forced labor. The former minister, who resigned from the government one year ago, continues to face significant legal challenges as his political standing declines.
