**American Samoa Election Office Releases List of Eligible Candidates for 2026 Midterm Election**
**PAGO PAGO, American Samoa** — The American Samoa Election Office has announced the list of individuals deemed eligible to run as candidates in the upcoming midterm election, scheduled for November 3, 2026.
The eligibility determination follows a review of nomination petitions and supporting documentation by the Election Office. The announcement was issued by Election Commissioner Uiagalelei Lealofi, Ed.D., and Deputy Director Tavai Fiti Tavi.
The following individuals have been cleared for candidacy:
**Delegate to the United States Congress**
* Aumua Amata
* Fualaau Rosie Tago Lancaster
* Meleagi Suitonu
* Chapman Samana Semo Veavea
* Sandra King Young
* Tuifagaloa Dr. Afu Lefaoseu
**House of Representatives**
* **District #1 (Manu’a):** Fetui F. Fetu Jr., Mana oimalo Fa’aaliga, Matagi Paepaetele, Mapu Jamias, Satia Aokuso Satia, and Vala Porotesano Liusamoa.
* **District #2 (Manu’a):** Niuatoa Loleni Faiai and Tiaoali’i Fauagiga T. Sai.
* **District #3 (Vaifanua):** Shaun O. Va’a and Tiapula Dr. Toafa Vaiaga’e.
