A disturbing find was made in Chaguanas, as police discovered the decomposing body of an elderly woman identified as Mary Sooknanan. The incident took place along Torenia Avenue, Edinburgh 500, on Wednesday afternoon. Sooknanan, a former employee of the Ministry of Education, was discovered after neighbours reported a strong odor coming from the residence. Police were unable to garner a response at the front door, which was burglar-proofed, prompting them to enter from the rear of the house. The senior woman’s body was found with her feet bound, indicating possible foul-play.
