Elderly Woman Found Dead at Home; No Signs of Forced Entry

A tragic discovery was made on Tuesday afternoon in Maloney Gardens. Hester Richards, a 79-year-old resident of Woodstar Avenue, was found dead in her home. Her son, who found her unresponsive on the living room floor, reported the incident around 3:40 p.m. She had been seen alive earlier that day, complaining of leg pain before her son left for work.

Upon their arrival, authorities found no signs of forced entry into the house. However, they noticed injuries to Richard’s forehead and swelling on parts of her body. The cause of these injuries is yet to be determined.

Richards had a history of health complications, including seizures, and was actively receiving treatment. This medical history could potentially provide insight into the circumstances of her death.

A district medical officer arrived at the scene and confirmed Richards’ death. An autopsy has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of her death, with investigations continuing.
