An 87-year-old resident from St. James, Trinidad, experienced a shocking discovery upon his return from an overseas trip. The elderly man found his Long Circular Road home ransacked, a horrifying end to his travels which began on the 1st of March, 2026, and concluded late on the 29th.
Upon inspection, it became clear that numerous items of value had been stolen. Among the missing items were two 55-inch and one 42-inch Samsung televisions, an HP monitor and laptop, and a Samsung stereo system. The thieves showed no discrimination, taking both gold and costume jewellery.
Not stopping at electronics and jewellery, the culprits also took the opportunity to steal the keys and battery for the resident’s white Ford Focus. A quantity of clothing and food items were also reported missing.
The police were immediately contacted following the grim discovery. An investigation into the incident is now underway, with WPC Juman leading the enquiries.
