A 79-year-old man from Blanchisseuse was the victim of a carjacking on the afternoon of March 2, 2026. The pensioner was seated in his parked Kia Soul near the Pillars on North Coast Road when he was approached by two men. The suspects, identified as wearing red T-shirts and shorts with plaited hairstyles, approached the vehicle from different sides.
