Elazığ Police Department carried out simultaneous inspections across the city during the evening. Officers visited busy streets, avenues, cafés and other commercial areas to verify that businesses were operating in compliance with local regulations. During the checks, the police used the General Information Collection (GBT) system to confirm the identities of individuals present. In addition, drivers were stopped at road enforcement points on major arteries. Their licenses, vehicle registration documents and alcohol levels were examined, and vehicle searches were conducted where necessary. The operation was part of the department’s effort to maintain public order and traffic safety in Elazığ.
