British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, a major shareholder of Manchester United and a tax resident of Monaco since 2020, expressed disappointment on Saturday that the United Kingdom does not celebrate the wealthy in the same way the United States does.
Ratcliffe, whose wealth is largely derived from his ownership of the chemical company Ineos, said that while Americans often applaud high-net-worth individuals and “creators of wealth,” his fellow Britons do not share the same sentiment.
