Ekpao Adjabo has headed the Direction générale du Trésor et de la Comptabilité publique (DGTCP) of Togo since January 2018. He was appointed by the Council of Ministers following the resignation of Yérima Mashoud Amadou.
Prior to his current role, Adjabo served in several capacities within the financial administration. In December 2008 he was named Receveur général du Trésor, a senior position within the Treasury.
As Director General, Adjabo oversees the main functions of the state’s financial management, including public treasury operations, state accounting, and the financial aspects of budget execution. His mandate also focuses on modernising public finance management, particularly in accounting and state asset management.
In 2018 he supervised the launch of a national inventory of the state’s movable and immovable assets, a project intended to feed the state’s material accounting system.
Adjabo’s responsibilities extend beyond national borders. Since 29 April 2019 he has served as Togo’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Banque Centrale des États de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (BCEAO), succeeding Sévon‑Tépé Kodjo Adedze.
After nearly nine years at the helm of the Treasury, Adjabo has become a key figure in Togo’s financial administration, bridging public treasury, state accounting, resource mobilisation, and public financing.
