During a recent anti-crime operation, police rescued eight Spanish-speaking females, including two minors, suspected to be victims of human trafficking in the Central Division. Officers acted on intelligence and located the group in a house in the St Helena district. In addition to the rescue, authorities seized a loaded pistol from the scene. Three Trinidadian men present were arrested and are likely to face charges related to human trafficking and firearm possession. Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
