Edirne Provincial General Assembly met in its Assembly Hall to review the status of infrastructure and superstructure projects in the Uzunköprü Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (OSB). The meeting was chaired by Assembly President Çiğdem Gegeoğlu. Research and Examination Commission Chair Kutay Özköse presented an update on the OSB, which covers 100 hectares and contains 75 parcels. He reported that three investors had signed pre‑allocation agreements for parcels within the zone. Two of the investors required large parcels for high‑capacity production, prompting a consolidation of parcels in accordance with applicable regulations. After the consolidation, the number of parcels in the zone was reduced to 65. Özköse also noted that infrastructure works are continuing to prepare the area for production. Civil Defense and Natural Disasters Commission Chair Cengiz Posta delivered a report on measures taken to alert residents with hearing impairments during siren alerts. He explained that written and visual information is used to notify those who cannot hear or have difficulty hearing the sirens. The measures include mobile notifications, text messages, official websites, and social media channels.
