The Highways Division of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure recently finished structural maintenance works on the Edinburgh 500 Bailey Bridge. The aim of these works was to ensure the safety and functionality of the bridge. The performed maintenance involved replacing damaged beam ends, tightening structural connections, and inspecting key bridge members and pins for security. Additionally, the bridge surface was cleaned to remove mud and debris. This maintenance is part of an ongoing initiative to preserve critical infrastructure and ensure the continued operation of bridges across Trinidad and Tobago.
