Two salons in Hucknall have been honoured at the English Hair and Beauty Awards Midlands 2026, with Westwick’s Hairdressers and The Nail Shack each receiving Outstanding Achievement awards.
Westwick’s Hairdressers, located on Nottingham Road, won the Recognised for Excellence Award in the Local Salon of the Year category. The owner, Claire Westwick, said the recognition was a pleasant surprise, adding that she does not normally enter competitions but was grateful for the nominations from her customers.
The Nail Shack earned the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Nail Salon of the Year category, recognising its high standards of service and client satisfaction.
The awards ceremony took place on 6 September 2026 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham. Organised by Oceanic Awards, the event celebrated the achievements of hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists, salon owners and other industry professionals across the Midlands.
A spokesperson for Oceanic Awards noted that the English Hair and Beauty Awards Midlands have reached their 14th year and continue to highlight the talent and dedication within the industry. “We are proud to celebrate the professionals and businesses that consistently go above and beyond for their clients,” the spokesperson said.
These awards are part of a respected platform that recognises excellence in the hair and beauty sector, providing an opportunity for professionals to showcase their creativity, innovation and commitment to exceptional client experiences.
