The Duval County School Board voted unanimously on Tuesday night to sell its Southbank headquarters, marking the third time the district has attempted to dispose of the riverfront property. The board approved a sale to a developer for $15.1 million. Under the terms of the agreement, the school district will have three years to relocate its operations. The decision follows two prior attempts to sell the property, which had not resulted in a finalized transaction. The sale is intended to provide the district with additional financial resources and to allow the building to be repurposed for other uses.
