Delhi is witnessing a tense day as two major protests unfold simultaneously. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) continues its sit-in at Jantar Mantar, with founder Abhijit Dipke vowing to continue until demands are met and announcing a march to Parliament. Meanwhile, thousands of farmers from Punjab have begun marching towards the capital via the Shambhu border, opposing the proposed India-US Free Trade Agreement. Farmers argue the deal will devastate Indian agriculture, dairy, and rural livelihoods. Security has been heavily reinforced at both locations. At Shambhu border, Section 163 (BNS) has been imposed, with police setting up barricades that have halted vehicular movement. Haryana Police have also stopped farmers at Khanouri. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory suggesting commuters avoid affected routes. AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang supported the farmers, warning the trade deal would be a severe blow to the farming sector.
