DNS President Requests Arrest of BiH Defense Minister, Claims He Violated the Law

The president of the Democratic People’s Alliance (DNS), Nenad Nesic, has called for the arrest of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Defense, Zukan Helez. The request follows recent public comments made by Helez regarding the status of the Republika Srpska entity.

The controversy stems from statements made by Helez following the funeral of Ratko Mladic, a convicted war criminal. In his remarks, Helez urged the international community to withdraw its support for the creation of the Republika Srpska entity.

In response to these comments, Nesic alleged that the Minister of Defense violated the law. He has formally requested that authorities take action to arrest Helez, citing the nature of the minister’s statements as the basis for his demand.
