Digicel offers free fibre upgrades after phone outage

Digicel Bermuda is offering free fibre upgrades to customers who still use its copper-based voice services. This move comes after a recent four-day disruption to the company’s services, which resulted in the shutdown of businesses and emergency telephone lines across the island. According to the company, the fibre upgrades are being provided to affected customers at no additional cost. The disruption, which lasted for four days, had a significant impact on the island, with many businesses and emergency services being affected. Digicel Bermuda has not provided further details on the cause of the disruption, but the company is taking steps to prevent such outages in the future by upgrading its infrastructure. The free fibre upgrades are part of the company’s efforts to improve its services and provide more reliable connectivity to its customers.
