The company assured customers that its technical teams were actively working to resolve the problems as quickly as possible, although no specific cause was detailed in their public notice.
The disruption underscored the critical importance of reliable mobile connectivity, especially during emergencies. Some users found their devices displaying “Emergency Calls Only” messages, highlighting the potential challenges faced when network services go down.
Digicel has advised customers experiencing ongoing issues to contact their support channels. Assistance is available through calls from a Digicel handset, landlines, WhatsApp, and live-chat support. Customers experiencing prolonged connectivity problems are also advised to restart their devices or briefly enable and disable airplane mode.
