**Severe Weather Forces Cancellation of End-of-Summer Concert in Jarocin**

**JAROCIN** – An outdoor event marking the end of summer in Jarocin was cut short on Friday, September 4, due to severe weather conditions. The event, held on the sports fields on Maratońska Street, was ultimately cancelled, including a headline performance by Natalia Kukulska.

The festivities began as scheduled at 5:00 p.m. with a children’s play area. At approximately 7:00 p.m., Julia Wasielewska, known for her appearance on the television program *The Voice of Poland*, began her performance. However, her set was shortened due to the onset of rain.

Prior to the event, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) had issued weather warnings for the Jarocin district. By the evening, the alert level was upgraded from the first to the second degree, remaining in effect until 11:00 p.m. Forecasters predicted strong winds with average speeds of 55 km/h and gusts reaching approximately 100 km/h, accompanied by localized thunderstorms.

Organizers initially attempted to delay Natalia Kukulska’s performance, moving the start time from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. However, worsening conditions forced a total cancellation of the remainder of the event.

In an official statement, the Municipality of Jarocin cited safety concerns for the artists, technical crew, and attendees as the primary reason for the decision. The municipality noted that heavy rainfall had flooded the stage and the sound engineering station, rendering the equipment unsafe for operation.

“We know that many of you were waiting for this evening, and we are very sorry that the concert cannot take place today,” the municipal statement read. “Safety is the most important thing.”

The event was free to the public. Officials expressed hope that the concert could be rescheduled for a future date.
