**Rain Forces Cancellation of Music Event in Jarocin**
*Jarocin, Poland – September 4, 2024* – A music festival held on the football fields at Maratońska Street in Jarocin was disrupted by heavy rain, leading to the cancellation of a scheduled concert by singer Natalia Kukulską.
The event, which began as planned on Friday, September 4, opened at 17:00 with a children’s play area for families. At 19:00, the first act, Julia Wasilewska—known from the television show *The Voice of Poland*—performed, but her set was shortened because of sudden rainfall.
According to the Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW), a weather warning had been issued earlier in the day for the Jarocin County, citing strong winds and thunderstorms. The alert level was raised from level 1 to level 2 in the evening, and the warning remained in effect until 23:00. Forecasts called for sustained winds up to 55 km/h, gusts up to 100 km/h, and occasional thunderstorms.
Natalia Kukulską’s concert, originally scheduled for 20:30 and later moved to 21:00, was ultimately called off. The municipality of Jarocin released a statement explaining that rain had flooded the stage and technical area, making it unsafe to continue. The statement emphasized the safety of artists, crew, and attendees as the primary concern.
The event was free of charge and not ticketed. The municipality thanked attendees for their understanding and expressed hope that the concert could be rescheduled for a safer date.
